19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a former number one, has had a challenging season, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and eventually parting ways with former coach Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.
Victory also indicates he has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, comprising in that event previously this season.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had caused commentators to doubt if his ability to perform at the highest level was concluded.
However the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and play aggressively, backed up by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his maiden professional victory, took control to force a final set.
He saved 4 early break points in a close third set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured victory with a point at the net, with Moutet unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
